Belarus – The Netherlands: New Opportunities for Trade and Investment Cooperation

The Belarus EU Business Council was invited to make a presentation of its activities at the Seminar “Belarus – The Netherlands: New Opportunities for Trade and Investment Cooperation”. The event took place on 19 June 2014 in the historical building of the Geelvinck Business Center in Amsterdam.

Following the opening remarks by Jurn Buisman, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Amsterdam, the Head of the Trade and Economic Section of the Embassy of Belarus in the Netherlands Dmitry Fomchenko presented the priority areas of trade and investment cooperation between Belarus and the Netherlands and gave an overview of the most attractive sectors for doing business in Belarus.
Ekaterina Tsaranok of the BEUBC informed the audience about the Councils organization and structure and spoke about possibilities for the Dutch companies to benefit from work with Belarus.

The session was closed by an example of efficient cooperation between the Belarus airline Belavia and the Dutch KLM in air transport sector, presented by Nikolai Tananaiko, Director of the Regional office of Belavia in Amsterdam.
